The Dunkeld and Birnam area is an excellent centre for walking much of Perthshire, with a well signposted network of local walks from 3, to almost 12 miles long. These are mainly low level walks ranging from gentle riverside strolls, to somewhat more strenuous woodland walks

In addition to the way marked walks, there are plenty of well mapped forest tracks and trails taking you up into some of the local hills. Each walk has its own distinct character and each gives a unique insight into the landscape, flora and fauna of Perthshire.
